The Hangleton and Knoll Project - working for a better community

Community Learning

Residents in the HaKIT computer suite

We offer a range of online and in-person Community Learning courses covering everything from dancing to benefits advice to wellbeing. We regularly set up new groups and activities in response to the needs and interests of our local communities, including Job Clubs for those looking for work and creative workshops to learn new skills. To find out more about our current and future courses you can sign up to our e-newsletter or visit our online activities map.

Our Community Learning Membership is free to join. If you would like to become a member, please download a copy of our Community Learning membership form and email the completed form to info@hkproject.org.uk.

HKP IT Suite Leaflet Some of our Community Learning classes take place in the HKP IT Suite at St Richard's Church and Community Centre, which provides free, friendly and informal IT training and resources to the local community with David our IT Tutor. Learn new IT skills and make life easier by working online. Our drop-ins on Tuesdays are between 10-12pm and we can help with form filling, health/NHS App support, employment, volunteering, or training, as well as general IT. On Wednesdays, our drop-ins are 10am-12pm, 1-3pm (both run by David) and 3-5pm (these are quieter sessions, run by Karen) for support with how to use a computer, search online or download and use Apps on your mobile amongst many other things!

David, our friendly, experienced & qualified tutor, is available to help people 1:1 in a group setting to answer questions, help them navigate the internet and increase their skill base. You can also contact David via 07422 665761 (call or text) or email hakit@hkproject.org.uk for help and advice with any of your IT-related questions at your own pace.
